LITTLE BADMAN (Puffin 2017-Present)

The Little Badman series is a comedic action-adventure book series for kids (roughly 8–12 years old), co-written by Humza Arshad and Henry White. It follows the misadventures of Humza Khan, a self-proclaimed rap superstar and cheeky schoolboy who keeps finding himself at the centre of increasingly bizarre and hilarious situations.

The Guardian “A very funny and very British book… Delightfully silly with a sharp comic edge.”

BookTrust “Little Badman is hilarious, full of bonkers action and unforgettable characters... A brilliant story of friendship and bravery wrapped in a riot of jokes.”

The Times (Children’s Book of the Week) “Imagine The Simpsons crossed with Alex Rider with a little of The Inbetweeners thrown in.”

Little Badman and the Rise of the Punjabi Zombie

When Humza starts big school, he might finally have bitten off more than he can chew. Rap-battling bullies, a furious headmistress, split from his best mates. Oh, and we haven't even mentioned the ancient magical orb causing havoc. At least he's found someone to help with his homework. Shame it's a z-z-zombie!

Little Badman and the Radioactive Samos

Selected for World Book Day (2022): A special Little Badman short was published as one of the official World Book Day £1 books.

While watching a meteor shower with the whole town, Humza and his friends narrowly avoid being hit by rock from outer-space. Unfortunately, Humza's delicious box of samosas isn't so lucky. It's a direct hit, and now they're glowing green. Humza decides it's a shame to waste them and tucks in. After all, a bit of radioactivity never hurt anyone...

Before long, the kids have superpowers, which is pretty cool. What's less cool is the gang of giant hamsters on the loose. Looks like a job for Super Badman and his radioactive crew!
